The Family is of God
Our Father has a family, Its me! It’s you, all others too: we are His
children.
He sent each one of us the earth, through birth, to live and learn here
in families.
God gave us families to help us become what He wants us to be.
This is how He shares His love, for the family is of God.
I was reminded as the special nature of this primary
song. Its fairly new, and not as familiar
as some others, but the message it teaches is well known principles of the
gospel.
Our Father has a family, Its me! It’s you, all others too: we are His
children.
This line of the song reiterates that we are all sons and
daughters of our Heavenly Father and therefore also our Heavenly Mother. If we are from a Father, we also need a
Mother. All families in the Lords plan requires
a male and female to create children.
All of us here on the earth are part of his family. Families have been before this earth life. This principle is one taught in the song well
known to primary children, “I am a child of God”. It is also one of the first principles taught
to investigators of the church.
Why? Because it answers the fundamental
question most often asked, “Where did I come from?”
He sent each one of us the earth, through birth,
We are all sent here to the earth to be born. This is also part of the Lords plan. He gave us agency, and allowed us to choose
his plan for us to come to the earth and have bodies, or be cast out, and live
as Lucifer, without a body. Because we
are here, we know we choose the Lords plan.
to live and learn here in families.
Families are part of the Lords plan. We are sent here to earth, through birth to a
family. Being born in a family allows
the influence of mother and father. It
teaches us to get along with our brothers and sisters. It is the place to learn how to get along
with society once we are grown. We will
hopefully learn and hold onto the righteous skills our parents have taught us. We then go out and begin families of our own.
God gave us families to help us become what He wants us to be.
The Lord knows our potential. He sees us as what we are, but also what we
can or will become. He constantly
stretches us with growing pains (trials and temptations). He sent us to a family that we can have into
the eternities.
This is how He shares His love, for the family is of God.
The family is ordained of God. This is his plan, and his way to help us
reach our potential He sees in us. Being
born with a loving mother and father puts us in the best situation to reach our
potential. We are blessed to become
parents and share a glimpse of his love for each of his children. He loves us, watches out for us, and will do
what he can to lead us home to him again.
