FHE Lesson Idea for young children – To Teach Children about Heavenly Fathers Family Pattern

Heavenly Fathers says a family is a father and a mother, who are married, with maybe some children. 

Show the picture of Adam and Eve and their family. 

This is the first family Heavenly Father created on this earth.  It has a father and a mother, just like our family.  They were also married, and then they had some children    Do you know the name of the people in the first family?  (Adam and Eve) 

What other families are like the one God created?

What about our family?

Is there a father and a mother?  Did we get married?  Did we have some children?

Are we a family like Heavenly Father created?

Can you think of other families that are the same as our family?

(Name some relatives, or friends that your children know well)

Do they have a father and a mother?  Are they married?  Did they matbey have some children?  Are they a family just like Heavenly Father Created?

Sometimes people in the world choose not to have families like Heavenly Fathers created.  Sometimes they have two mothers, or two fathers, or they don’t chose to get married.

This can make us feel sad because we want to have families like Heavenly Father’s.
